Let's Talk
Americans are socially isolated. As more and more people live alone, extended families disappear and civic participation declines, simple human contact and ordinary conversation are also becoming rare. A quarter of the population tells pollsters they have no one to talk with about significant personal issues. What can faith communities do to restore the web of human connection? Interim minister Rev. Gary Kowalski suggests that small group ministry offers a tested format for people to find deeper, more meaningful relationships and turn strangers into friends. On Sunday, February 26, Alex Andrews, a member of one of First Parish of Sudbury's Chalice Circles, will share her own experience with small group ministry. A forum following the service will offer an opportunity to learn more about how to join and get involved. Worship begins at 10:00 a.m. and childcare is provided.
First Parish of Sudbury is a Unitarian Universalist congregation located at 327 Concord Road. The Meetinghouse is accessible to wheelchair users and those who are hearing impaired. We embrace diversity and are intentional about the participation of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons in all aspects of congregational life. We welcome all who wish to explore their own spiritual journeys in the company of others and any who are seeking a liberal religious community of faith.
